Hello and Welcome to my Personal website

My name is Jamie Lee-Morgan and I am a Welsh actor, puppeteer and voice artist.

Having been awarded a Dance and Drama Award, I trained at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where I studied for three years.

Shortly after graduating I was cast as 'Joey Head' Puppeteer in the critically acclaimed National Theatre Production of 'War Horse' in the West End.

I have worked on plays, musicals, short films and new writing; establishing myself as a professional, creative and dedicated performer with a particular talent for comedy and physical theatre.

I continuously look to build on my experience, working on exciting and creative projects that challenge and develop my skills as an actor.

I am currently rehearsing for the UK tour of 'Madagascar The Musical' where I am playing 'Melman'.  More info in 'News

I am delighted to announce that I will be playing ‘Melman’ in the UK tour of ‘Madagascar A Musical Adventure’.

"Go wild as Matt Terry – Winner of 2016’s X-Factor is announced to play Alex The Lion in the brand-new stage adaptation of Madagascar – The Musical opening at New Wimbledon Theatre on 16 July prior to a UK Tour.

Matt will be joined by cast including Antoine Murray-Straughan,Timmika Ramsay, Jamie Lee-Morgan, Shane McDaid, Laura Johnson, Jessica Niles, Victoria Boden, Matthew Pennington and Darren John.

Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – The Musical  follows all of your favourite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.

Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape – with the help of some prodigious penguins – to explore the world.

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime. Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, you’ll have no choice but to “Move It, Move It!”

The Pauline Quirke Academy

I am the 'Comedy and Drama' tutor at PQA Rochester.

"These sessions are devoted to expanding our students' knowledge of different theatrical forms and techniques. This includes everything from improvisation and devised theatre to mime, mask, script work and vocal techniques – including projection and diction.

Theatre games help with confidence-building, self-esteem, teamwork and communication skills where the use of imagination and the tools of storytelling are emphasised.

Students are encouraged to explore different staging options, including 'in-the-round,' 'promenade' and even site-specific work – all designed to give them the broadest acting tuition possible."
